"La Panacée" is this new contemporary art place in Montpellier, France. I'm not really into this kind of stuff, but went there to check what was going on, as it's brand new and costed this country €13M with a 3 years delay.
The place is an old pharmaceutical university or something. The space is really great. After a first visit, I'm not sure what's inside the space is as great as the building.
First thing you notice when you enter the place, is a restaurant. Strange for an art place, but why not.
You get those ongoing trendy 20th century technology-nostalgic memorablia (old phones, records etc.) you get almost in every arty-technological museum.
A suspended wall of dozens of small LCD screens is displaying words, woah.
Interesting, there's a radio broadcasting on FM locally! Unfortunately, nothing worked. No radio show, no working FM transmitters, radios stood silent. Sorry Radio Kompost, that was maybe a good idea, but it's a fail.
Unsure I'll go back very often.
